An Aol study recently found that nowadays 57% of consumers watch video on their mobile on a daily basis. An important shift towards mobile video consumption is thus ongoing.

In France, a staggering 63% of consumers watch video everyday on their smartphone. Mobile is catching up with desktop video consumption that is now about 66%.

These numbers confirm that we  can no longer deny the importance of mobile. The increasing number of mobile video consumption comes also with shorter video formats that dominate on mobile according to the study! When videos surpass the length of 1 minute, the audience gradually drops.

Marketeers and video creators should thus try to find short video formats that don't go over a minute. We present three short video formats to help your mobile video campaigns going.

1. Tease your community on Instagram

3. Animated GIFS

But you don't necessarily need a video to grab the attention. You've undoubtedly come across animated gifs in e-mail campaigns or on your social feeds. Animated gifs are short video fragments that are looped, so they play over and over again. Often accompanied by a witty text.
